What we are
Starting life as the Borough Road Polytechnic, London South Bank University has been part of the local landscape for over a century and is today one of the capital’s oldest universities.
Who we are
With over 23,500 students, LSBU is one of the largest universities in London. Our students are drawn here from across the globe, throughout the UK and from just around the corner.
Where we are
Our main campus is situated a short walk from many of London’s major landmarks and we’re at the hub of local transport. Waterloo and London Bridge are some of our nearest stations and the London Underground is on our doorstep.
Where we’re going
Currently we are investing £47 million into our campus, set in the heart of London, to allow us to continue to provide the best student facilities. The first stage of improvements will be completed as soon as 2008.
The institution has a vision of being a leading UK University for professional education, giving our students the chance to ‘become what you want to be’.
Equality & Diversity
At LSBU we are committed to promoting equality, diversity and a supportive environment for everyone in our community. We are proud of our historic and continuing commitment to widening participation in the local community and more information can be found on our Equality & Diversity website.
