University description (as per official university website)
The Court Reporting Institute was founded in 1978 and has since grown to become one of the largest court reporting colleges in the United States. In 2002, the college opened a campus in Houston to offer high quality court reporting education to the southern region of Texas. In 2006, the college launched a 100% online court reporting program so that we could provide outstanding court reporting education to people across the nation.
For more than 25 years, the Court Reporting Institute has trained court reporters. Unlike other colleges that simply have court reporting as one of the many programs they offer, the Court Reporting Institute offers two programs, a Diploma in Paralegal Studies and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Court Reporting. What this means to our students is that we focus 100% of our time, energy, and resources on providing the finest paralegal and court reporting training possible. We’ve helped hundreds of people like you change their lives by entering the exciting career of court reporting.
If you’re looking for a new career and you think paralegal and court reporting might be the answer, you’ve come to the right place. The Court Reporting Institute is the place to train for the exciting and financially rewarding profession of paralegal and court reporting.
At the Court Reporting Institute, we believe it is extremely important for each prospective student to spend some time with one of our admissions coordinators talking about the career of court reporting, our college, and what’s involved in the program. Our admissions coordinators are trained to help you explore the many career paths in court reporting, understand the curricula and school schedules, determine if court reporting is right for you, and help guide you through the admissions process. We encourage you to contact our admissions department to arrange a personal interview.
Aside from the requirement that applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, there are no other “pre-requisites” or previous education necessary to enter our college.
The Institute offers day and evening classes as well as a 100% online program.
