Argosy University
Dallas, United States - Texas

University description (as per official university website)

School Information: College Degree Information
Argosy University is a leading institution of higher learning founded upon the principle that relationship building is at the heart of both educational and professional success. Our academic programs focus on the interpersonal skills vital to professional achievement, while our faculty and staff nurture students' confidence as well as competence to thrive in their chosen fields.

Argosy University was formed in September 2001 by the merging of three separate academic institutions. The American School of Professional Psychology was founded in the early 1970s by a group of psychologists, educators, and other professionals who called for a clinical psychology degree that emphasized teaching and practical training over the research-oriented approach of the traditional PhD degree. The University of Sarasota had for more than 30 years offered degree programs in business and education to working adults through a delivery format that mixed distance learning and brief, intensive on-campus study periods. Responding to the emerging needs of the medical community, the Medical Institute of Minnesota was established in 1961 to prepare skilled allied healthcare personnel for careers in the booming medical technology fields.

Building on these successful foundations, Argosy University today comprises four colleges within 19 campus locations across the U.S., and also offers degree programs online through our Chicago campus. All of the degree programs available through our College of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, College of Business, College of Education, and College of Health Sciences are designed to instill the knowledge, ethical values, and interpersonal skills of professional practice and to foster values of social responsibility in a supportive, learner-centered environment of mutual respect and academic excellence.

Argosy University offers professional certificates, programs, and doctoral, master's, and bachelor's degrees in the following colleges: College of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, College of Education, College of Business, College of Health Sciences, and College of Undergraduate Studies. (Note: Not all degree programs are offered in all program areas.)

Our coursework emphasizes interpersonal skills alongside academic learning, and many programs are available in flexible learning formats such as evening and weekend classes and online courses that work within your busy schedule. We also provide a variety of student services to help support your academic, career, and personal needs.

Located in the North Texas area, our campus attracts students from in and around Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and across the country. We're minutes away from shopping, restaurants, cultural and entertainment venues.

Financial aid

A college education can be one of the biggest investments you can make in your life. However, the benefits derived from an education far outweigh the costs. Because of this, Argosy University is dedicated to providing its students with an affordable education.
We also understand that the aid application process can be confusing, so we are here to help. Our student finance representatives will walk you through the process of finding financial aid and applying for it. They will help you determine what options you are eligible for.
A variety of financial aid options are available, including scholarships, grants, loans, and employment opportunities. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. When searching for financial aid, it is important to explore all options as early as possible.
