Resource-Efficiency Fellowships

Announcement follows

Resource-Efficiency Fellowships was founded in 2013 within the TPU Plan for Resource-Efficiency Expansion. The resource efficiency has become a major objective of research, educational programmes and a requirement for new international laboratories and applied technologies. The grant programme was developed for involving talented students and fellows who are interested in research and development of resource-efficient inventions and technologies in various fields of science. The scheme includes a set of competitions upon which results full-funded fellowships are granted. In 2014/2015 academic year 40 scholarships are available.

The scholarships are available in Russia, at Tomsk Polytechnic University for taught courses and research in following fields:

Cluster “Safe Environment”:
• Non-destructive testing and diagnostics;
• Materials for extreme conditions;
• Domestic and industrial waste recycling.

Cluster “Sustainable Energy”:
• High-temperature superconductivity technologies for energy production;
• Nuclear and hydrogen fuel of the new generation;
• Hybrid simulation in energy production;
• Resource-efficient generation.

Cluster “Medical Engineering”:
• Bioengineering materials and technologies;
• Radiation technologies in bioengineering;
• Electrophysical biomedical complexes.

Cluster “The Planet Resources”:
• Resource-efficient use of mineral resources;
• Clear water;
• Green chemistry.

The fellowships are granted to applicants with outstanding academic merit, who are able contributing innovative university’s research, to become leaders in their field of science and expand the boundaries of knowledge. Below you will find the whole list of the fellowships and eligibility requirements of each competition.

All eligible applicants who have applied to the University by the relevant deadline for their course will automatically be considered for the Resource-Efficiency Fellowships.
