Courses
GW Pre-College courses provide an exciting and unique opportunity for high school students to experience the academic rigors of learning in a college environment. Courses are taught by expert GW faculty and scholar practitioners.

GW Pre-College is now accepting applications! Rising seniors may attend either the non-credit or credit program.
Note: Our credit and non-credit courses are open to international students. Those interested in our credit courses may apply to our 6-week program only. There are additional fees and admissions requirements for international students in our credit program. Please contact our office at gwsummer@gwu.edu.
Requirements
1. Application Form

2. 350-word essay stating why you are interested in the course(s) you selected and what you hope to learn (not required for Creative Nonfiction Seminar course)
3. Academic transcript (including current grades)
4. One recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor
5. Additional submissions required for: Creative Nonfiction Seminar and Contemporary Documentary Photography
6. Non-refundable $50 application fee

Early application is highly recommended as courses fill in mid-spring. Your application will be reviewed on a rolling, space available basis when all components are received. Late applications are accepted subject to availability. Admission to the program does not imply admission to The George Washington University.
