Announcement follows
The EcoMod Modeling School offers two simultaneous and intensive five-day courses in Washington DC in March 2011. The courses will take place at the Washington Convention Center.
Practical General Equilibrium Modeling with GAMS
Intensive course in general equilibrium modeling at the introductory level. For those who have little or no experience in modeling or in GAMS.
Environmental CGE Modeling with GAMS
The course will introduce the tools for building and implementing dynamic multisectoral general equilibrium models for environmental policy analysis.
This course is only accessible to the alumni of the Practical Course in Economic Modeling, or to those who have some experience in general equilibrium modeling and in GAMS.
Active Learning Model
EcoMod learning model is an active process based on intensive computer hands-on sessions where participants learn modeling and software with guidance from highly experienced instructors.
Alumni Network
EcoMod Modeling School has the largest alumni network of modelers in the world with members from more than 100 countries and 400 institutions.
Scholarships
EcoMod offers a limited number of partial scholarships to candidates from developing countries and transition economies.
To apply for a scholarship please send your Curriculum Vitae and a letter of motivation stating which course you intend to follow as well as the reason(s) why you ask for a reduction of the course fee.
Deadline: Applications should be sent by email to Theresa Leary two months before the start of the course at the latest.
