Announcement follows
The Student Mobility programme is designed for Indian students enrolled in a masters or doctoral programme at recognised Indian universities or institutions of higher education to take up/ pursue a course or do an internship at recognised Canadian universities, colleges or institutions. The recipient will be affiliated as a student/ intern at a Canadian college, university, research institution or an organization in the developmental sector, and will pursue a course (module/part of a course), or undertake a project or internship at the host institution in Canada.
Value:
The fellowship provides round-trip economy class air travel and monthly stipend as per the policy of the Institute.
Duration: 5 weeks
Eligibility:
■An applicant should be pursuing a Masters or Doctoral Degree in an Indian University/ Institution;
■The applicant should have completed an equivalent of a Canadian bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian university with at least 55% marks;
■The applicant should have some (paid or voluntary) professional or work experience relevant to his/ her proposed field of study;
■The applicant should not have another degree from a Canadian university or be enrolled in a Canadian degree program;
■The applicant must be a citizen or a permanent resident of India;
■The applicant should demonstrate proficiency in oral and written English, and should preferably be in the age group of 21-30 years.

Guidelines:
■ Applicants should be familiar with the Canadian/Indian educational system.
■Applicants will need to have a letter of affiliation from a Canadian institution at the time of applying, or from an Indian Institution (if the faculty mobility applicant is from Canada). It is expected that all applicants correspond, in advance, with potential host institutions.
■Preference will be given to applicants from SICI member institutions in India / Canada as also for affiliation to member institutions in Canada / India.
■The selected applicant / awardee will have to complete his / her travel between 1st June 2012 to 31st March 2013.
■The applicant who has availed/ received this award or fellowship earlier, is not eligible to apply.
