Announcement follows
FEPS – Foundation for European Progressive Studies is launching its new project "The Next Europe" opening with a call for academic articles. FEPS is a European think tank, established in 2007 on the basis of EU legislation for political party foundations. It remains close to the PES (Party of European Socialists), but nevertheless an independent, Brussels-based organization, which runs its own research projects, organises activities all around the world and cooperates closely with a network of national foundations.
FEPS invite all young researchers (PhD candidates and PhD academics) to contribute to an exciting Europe-wide debate on the future of Europe, submitting papers on the trends, possible scenarios and the changing context of the values guiding these processes.
The articles shall focus on one of the three following themes:
1. analysing demography and predicting the development of Europe society during the next decade;
2. social realities and political needs of European society during the next ten years;
3. evolution of values and culture of European society in the decade that follows.
Contributions should be submitted no later that 15th November 2009 to [Dr. Ania SKRZYPEK], FEPS policy advisor. The authors of the articles selected for publication will be duly informed and invited to present their findings in Brussels at a joint event held together with the FEPS Research Group. Following the first publication, FEPS will also offer a possibility for the authors to contract them for the second publication. The cycle foresees three publications in total.
