Are you ambitious? Do you want to represent international students at Sheffield Hallam University now and in the future? These new, exclusive and competitive scholarships are aimed at you.

The scholarships include a one year full tuition fee waiver for a full time taught postgraduate courses as well as
•a notebook with hard drive for use while you study
•an annual sports Hallam Performance membership annual pass for unlimited fitness opportunities on campus
•a personal mentor to help you start your career*
•the opportunity to become an alumni ambassador back in your home country
•dinner with Deputy Vice Chancellor to share your experiences
•volunteer work that fits around your studies*
•a Sheffield Hallam hoodie

*subject to appropriate application and relevant links with local business

Successful scholars will be expected to represent Sheffield Hallam University through various activities during the academic year and once graduated.


To be eligible to apply for one of these scholarships you must
•hold a first class honours degree or equivalent
•have an unconditional offer from Sheffield Hallam University
•be enrolling on a postgraduate full time one year course with Sheffield Hallam starting in 2012/13 academic year
•be Self-funding your studies
•have, or expect to achieve, a minimum of IELTS 6.0 (5.5 in all areas) or equivalent*
•be classed as an international student for fees purpose
•be able to pay for any additional fees your course may offer for example field trips

The panel will be held after the closing date and applicants will be notified approximately one month after the closing date using the contact details on the course application.

* Please note that IELTS 6.0 (5.5 in all areas) or equivalent is the minimum English language requirement to be eligible for the Scholarship and that the English language requirement for entry onto some of our undergraduate and postgraduate courses may be higher.

Scholarship applications for taught courses starting in September 2012 applications must be submitted by 30 June 2012. Scholarship applications for taught courses starting in January 2013 applications must be submitted by 30 November 2012.
